Each image documents a pedestrian's negotiation with their urban surroundings. Objects in the pictures have been engaged with often in ways they weren't necessarily intended to be. Many of these found pictures exhibit poor attempts to discard objects, while other objects portray an effort to function.

The images, all collected on my phone while in daily transit, have now been translated onto a textile that resembles a beach towel. The effect is a re-insertion of the human figure, despite their absence in the photos themselves.
